      Excellent sounding strings

      If your looking for a smooth low end sound these are the strings you need. I put a set on one of my short (30") scale basses and they delivered a clean low end sound without any grind. Excellent choice for jazz or country base lines. Also, fast cord changes and easy on the fingers. Note: You may have to adjust the neck action as these are somewhat heavier gauge strings.

      will not fit a Hofner bass

      bought these to put on a Hofner violin bass but they are too short. the Hof has a 30" scale and these were still too short to make it to the 'head' side of the nut. unfortunately, i had to open the package to find that out. anyone want a new set unused....cheap?

      Pleasure to play

      Replaced round wound strings with these and don't regret it. So much easier on the fingers and no longer hear string rasp or fret clank. They aren't dead sounding, just reduced upper highs. From the 7th fret and higher, I hear the plunk that is reminiscent of The Association, 5th Dimension and Mamas and Popas.

      Excellent bass strings

      I play in a retro rock/country band, and I also love dub and reggae, so I was looking for a thick bass sound. These strings are the bassy sound I was hearing in my head, so if that's what you're looking for, these are a good deal
