Open Season (Gamecube) Fun for kids and adults alike, but replay value just isn't there. It's worth renting, but not worth owning! Open Season is a fun game, and kids and adults will enjoy it, but once you've beaten it once you won't feel like playing it again. Open Season offers a ton of different challenging levels. Whether you're collecting grubs, scaring hunters, racing through mine shafts, or facing a brutal boss, this game has it all. There are a ton of enemies you get to face, and a fair share of allies. All of your allies offer something new to your bag of tricks. The ability to upgrade certain features between levels is a great addition to this game. You can upgrade attributes such as your roar, your throw, and your sense of smell. Pros: - Tons of Levels - Tons of Bad Guys - 7 multiplayer mini-games - Tons of bad guys to face of against - Ability to Upgrade - Lots of side quests - Pretty decent animation - Ability to use other Animals to your advantage (Throwing Skunk Bombs or using squirrels to daze hunters) Cons: - Replay value low - Did they use the real actors voices for this game? (Have to beat the game to find out) - Final Verdict: 3/5 Rent or Buy?: Adults - Rent. This is a kids game, and can be fun and challenging for Adults, but unless you're under the age of 10, this game's replay value is simply non-existent. P.S. Make sure you collect all the secret badges your first time through a level, it can be tedious and annoying playing through a level two or three times. PLEASE VOTE IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL. Boog and Elliott are a riot. In this gamecube version of the game we just picked up today, you can toss snowballs. One of the favorites is the ability to throw skunk bombs - ewww. We just finished riding the rapids on a floating outhouse. There's all kinds of tricks and treats in this Open Season game. I would really rate this teenager to adult although it is for everyone.
This game is alright. It's your typical linear movie tie-in but it's a great flashback to my childhood so 5-stars because my rose-tinted glasses won't allow me to give anything less.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
I got this game for my 10 year old daughter to play over the summer break from school, well now we are both playing it. very fun to play .
PURCHASED FOR GRANDSON AGE 6. GRAPHICS ARE GREAT, ESPECIALLY FOR KIDS, I FOUND THE GAME TO BE AS EXCITING AS THE MOVIE. THIS IS ONE KIDS WILL JUST LOVE, PROVIDES HOURS OF GREAT ENTERTAINMENT, GAME STANDS TRUE TO THE MOVIE.
