A good reliable branded product.
After years of buying numerous hand can openers which invariably caused me can-opener rage because they would either stick, or just turn a centimetre or two, break my nails and I would feel like screaming in frustration ( I did sometimes). I would then buy another waiting for a miracle to happen I gave up and bought the Kenwood after reading some very favourable reviews. Ahhhh, bliss. What a difference it has made. Cans open effortlessly in seconds. It's compact so can be stored in a cupboard when not in use. It's a branded item and well recognised for it's quality and durability, so a good safe purchase. I can't believe I waited so long and neither will you. And the bonus? I got this at the lowest price I could find on the web off this E-Bay seller. sturdy, works well and feel sure good quality, just not suitable for my needs
I got this electric one because my right thumb is too weak to use a normal hand held can opener but found I still need a fair bit of strength to work this one ie holding the can in place. As for the add on bottle opener and knife sharpener they were superfluous as already had good quality ones and are a bit cheap. It takes a fair bit of room on worktop for the number of times used given most cans are now ring pull type so a can ring pull instead would've made the product much more useful. The unit itself quite expensive but is sturdy, works well and feel sure good quality, just not suitable for my needs so should really have returned it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to use solid tin opener

Loving my Kenwood CAP70.A0 can opener with knife sharpener and can opener. Sleek style, and with the sharpener and opener being concealed it does not deter from style. Nice pure white colour. Solid built. Weak hands? This Kenwood opener solved your problem.
This purchase was to replace my previous Kenwood electric can opener which I purchased at the end of the last century. It was on its last legs but my husband, being 'careful' with things objected to me spending money unnecessarily when it was still working after a fashion. However osteoarthritis in my hands made the decision for me and I purchased the new one. I am so pleased with it and cannot believe how I struggled for so long with the old one. The design of the new product is pleasing and it's use is heaps better. Access to the cutting point has been greatly improved and it seems like magic how very quickly I can now open cans. As to the knife sharpener - well that remains an unused facility as yet but I intend to have a go in the near future.
