Unfortunately the shape of my torso won’t allow the flat plates to sit comfortably in my carrier. I knew the plates are good quality for price. I know because a friend of mine bought some extra ones a while back and we tested the IIIA rating.They slightly out performed the NIJ IIIA requirements. If money is tight and you’re looking for inexpensive hand gun protection that works , I’d say buy them.But without a curve they fit awkwardly if your a bit muscular
