Product Information

Meet Eloise, the precocious darling of the Plaza Hotel Eloise is a little girl who lives at The Plaza Hotel in New York. She is not yet pretty but she is already a Person. Henry James would want to study her. Queen Victoria would recognize her as an Equal. The New York Jets would want to have her on their side. Lewis Carroll would love her (once he got over the initial shock). She knows everything about The Plaza. She is interested in people when they are not boring. She has Inner Resources. If you take her home with you, you will always be glad you did.

Reviews
"Eloise is one of the more delightfully fiendish literary heroines of our time." -- Edward I. Koch (former NYC mayor!!!), "Eloise, Kay, and Hilary have been in my life always. And her pug puppy is in my heart. What memories!" -- Lena Horne (movie star), "Thanks to Eloise, my daughter sought independence and mastery over her life. We loved reading this book, and we've never given it away." -- Susan Sarandon (rawther grande actress), "My first happy response to Eloise was entirely due to the brilliant, iconic images. That brazen, loose-limbed, deliciosly little girl monster is Hilary Knight at his best." -- Maurice Sendak (enormously famous artist), "Ooooooo....I just love Eloise! Thank you, Kay Thompson and Hilary Knight. You're the bestest!" -- Judy Blume (lovely author)

Super impressed with this seller! They had the best price by far for this book! Both the cost of the book and the shipping fee was far better than average! The book came exactly as described, it was well packaged and quite a bit earlier than expected! The seller was polite and replied quickly to my messages. I’ll definitely make another purchase soon! Thank you to the seller! Be safe and keep up the great work!

WONDERFUL book! Better than described, in just like new condition [not just good]. Packaged very carefully, shipped very securely. Great seller, would buy from again in a heartbeat! No communication occurred, but I imagine it would have been as good as the rest of their customer service. Very happy with purchase, thank you very much!

  • I can't imagine a children's library without Eloise

This was one of my favorite books growing up. I would "read" it even before I could read. I still smile when I see the illustrations of Eloise in her bedroom and playing with her broken dolls. Her turtle eating raisins and the face on her pug were among the images that stayed with me during the many years between when I had the book as a child and when I found the book again at age 20 after much searching; my original copy had been given away by my mom (not knowing how much I loved the book)as she figured I had "outgrown" the book when I was about eight. I am giving a copy to my friends who are expecting a baby in a few months and I hope it will be appreciated by all who read it.

  • Excellent

This book was a favorite of mine as a child. It still is a favorite. Eloise is darling! She lives at the Plaza Hotel in New York and has a ball. She has pets and a Nanny and a tutor--all of whom will make you laugh out loud. The book has a pull out section of Eloise's elevator ride. You can have fun just looking at this book, although reading it will have you in stitches!

  • ELOISE TEE SHIRT

THIS IS A MUST FOR ALL ELOISE FANS. I BOUGHT ONE FOR MY NEICE AND ONE FOR MYSELF AND I'M PLANNING ON BUYING MORE FOR THE REST OF MY ELOISE BUDDIES. THE TEE SHIRT IS GREAT QUALITY AND THE ELOISE PICTURE EXTREMELY ACCURATE. THEY RUN TRUE TO SIZE AND ARE PACKED WELL. A GREAT PRODUCT OVERALL.

  • Daily life adventures of a priviledged child with a hotel playground

Charming story about an imaginative only child living in the famous Plaza Hotel in NY. I would recommend looking for an earlier addition with the fold out.
