Elegantly designed in the classic French-press look, this Primula coffeemaker features a domed lid and footed frame in metal with a chrome-like finish, definitely adding class to after-dinner java. The large black handle, made of a heat-resistant synthetic material, enables pouring without burning knuckles on the hot glass. Unlike some presses that use polycarbonate containers, this one (model PCP-6408) has a heavy glass insert that can be removed for easy cleaning, either in a dishwasher or preferably by hand. A three-cup version of the press is also available; both make excellent gifts for the coffee lover. Many coffee aficionados believe the French-press plunger method of brewing is the best way to bring out the richest flavor of the beans. Initial Impression
Have used it twice so far and I will never use a drip coffee maker again. Taste great and easy to clean. Only issue I have is the lid fitting loosely in the glass. Not saying there needed to be a rubber gasket, but the plastic could have been slightly larger to not need to keep a finger on the lid while pouring.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
