    Added speed

    This CPU works well and is notably faster. I am satisfied with that. My problem, though, was a misunderstanding. I was trying to get to 4th gen I5 performance by going to an I7. Although this didn't work, I am glad I upgraded to this CPU.

    Leap of faith

    Working fine when swapped into age-old Acer Aspire 7741G, which originally came with i3-370M (& HD5470M). TDP is 10W higher and the fan spins at a higher RPM but I don't mind as the laptop is actually usable now! Temps are fine, at least with recently cleaned cooler & better thermal paste. Would recommend everyone else to mention the upgrade paths aswell, more information for upgrading old laptops is needed!
