    Buy them

    Put these on a MIK Epi Les Paul that had the factory Epiphone Kluson knock offs. After getting the bushings out of the headstock,I found the Hipshots were a little to big to go through the holes. DO NOT use a power drill to enlarge these,I used the smallest sanding drum and a Dremel on high speed and this works perfect. Just enlarge them from the back of the headstock and just go deep enough where the Hipshots fit flush with the back of the headstock,you don't need to enlarge them all the way through. After doing this,it's just a matter of laying the plates down,putting the tuners on,and tightening them up with a 10mm. Easy to use and looks great. Tuners are smooth and it looks cleaner without all the wraps around the string post. Highly recommend these.Strings are still new and stretching ...

    Short Posts

    These will only work with the UMP plates on tele and strat headstocks that are standard thickness. They dont fit on much else. The screw holes also don't line up with standard tuning keys holes. On a new neck that they fit on they work nicely though.

    Hipshot tuners are good. UMP did not fit my guitar.

    I only gave this product 4 stars because the UMP did not fit my guitar, and I ended up having to drill holes in the headstock. I bought these tuners with the UMP so I would not have to drill those holes. I guess the UMP is not so universal after all. Hipshot should have a list of the guitar brands that the UMP works with. Mine is a Taylor, so I think there are a few of those out there in the market. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Locking Tuners

    I love these Hipshot locking tuners. USA quality products and low prices. With the UMP (universal mounting plates) you don't need to drill any holes. I put these tuners on all of my guitars.

    Hip-Shot--great locking Tuners

    Put the locking turners on a jay-turser knock off lp and they work great. Since I have put them on the tuning stability has improved 90%. Plus very easy for string changes. The only way to go!!!!
