Tires for Grizzly 1019Z
These are my first set of urethane tires. Although more difficult to install than rubber tires (which are difficult to locate these days) they do not need any sort of adhesive. When you get them, they look too small. But, through some trickery and muscle they can indeed be successfully installed. I suggest you consult the several good videos on youtube and pick your own method for installation. I strongly suggest you remove your two bandsaw wheels to install. Use penetrating oil and be patient. I liked a method of using electrical zip ties instead of clamps at say, the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions, then muscle one side towards the 9 o'clock position, then I used a small "dowel" rod of PVC (more slippery than a wood dowel) to muscle on the final 1/4 of the tire. Run the dowel all the way around the tire/wheel to finish up and seat, then remove the dowel. Not easy, but not impossible either. Both wheels took me less than a half hour to install. The quality of these tires is first rate, as is the service from Sulphur Grove. I was skeptical at first if these would actually fit my Grizzly 1019 Z series bandsaw. The width of the wheels is 15/16", and these tires measure 1". But, I was assured that when they stretch the tires will fit, and indeed they just fit into the channels of the wheels. I tapped them down in just a few places around the perimeter for a perfect fit. The tires run true, and they should last a long, long time. I'm very happy with them.

I purchased mine used from a professional musical instrument maker. Mostly guitars and banjos, violins etc. It had been sitting for some time, as he was on to new and bigger things (teaching in a local college). He sold it to me at a very good price and met me halfway to deliver it. The guide bearing were seized from lack of use and maintenance. I lubed them and temporarily and immediately ordered a new set from Grizzly Industrial at a very reasonable price. The saw simply performs as advertized. There are undoubtedly better saws out there, but at this price point it is hard to beat this one. Plus Grizzly Industrial has always done right by me on warranty issues and replacement parts as need for worn items. Your mileage may vary. P.S. I have had in the past a cabinet shop and a ...
