With its versatility implied in its very name, the LG Versa VX9600 for Verizon Wireless is a smartphone that offers users more flexibility. The phone comes with a detachable QWERTY keyboard, which folds out in order to let you type more easily. If you prefer not to have the extra bulk, just remove the keyboard, and use the virtual keyboard on the touch screen instead. The digital keypad works just as well as the QWERTY keyboard; some users simply prefer a more tactile experience and find it easier to type using a full keyboard than on the screen. The LG Versa VX9600 is one of few mobile phones with such versatility. LG has announced plans for additional modules, such as a game pad controller that can clip on as easily as the keyboard, though the Versa is nevertheless a fine phone on its own. The cell phone comes with a number of appealing features aside from its customizability, including a browser with Flash Lite support, a 2.0-megapixel camera, GPS, and wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. Without its attachments, the LG Versa VX9600 holds several similarities to the LG Dare in terms of appearance. The phone measures 4.16 x 2.07 x 0.54 inches and weighs 3.81 ounces with the battery, which is just the right size to take around with you throughout the day. It has a three-inch screen with a 240 x 480-pixel resolution, along the bottom of which are Send, End, and Clear buttons that make the most important functions easier to access. The touch screen is nicely responsive and works well with the intuitive interface. The user interface on the LG Versa VX9600 provides four home screens that consolidate your favorite contacts, media, and applications. The screens can be customized to display the information and apps most relevant to you, and you have a wide range of shortcuts available to choose from.     LG VX9600 (Versa)

    I love that I can either bring the QWERTY keypad with me, or leave it at home. It makes a big difference when I am only bringing a couple of things with me, instead of my entire purse. The touch screen is sensitive, which is great; I don't have to punch on the screen a million times to get it to respond. I have a stylus as well, but I don't use it all the time; it really isn't necessary unless you have larger fingers. I would have to say my favorite part is that I can actually write a word and it translates it to text for me. It's mostly just for fun, as it would be hard to write an entire message in less time than it would take to just use the keypad or touch screen.

    Nice phone IF your hands/fingers are not too big.

    I bought it used for about $15, so it was a good deal. It has the features I want in a phone, and it is my first touch screen. I rate it low on ease of use because my fat fingers make the touch screen hard to use. Even after I increased the icon size, I still mess up my pin when getting my VM's. It is a little small for my big hands, and that also makes operating it kind of sketchy. If I had small hands/fingers, I would have rated this phone high in all categries.....

    versa

    I prefer the keypad for text, much faster, but this one makes the phone awkward to use so I removed it. Is nice that I had the option to remove keypad and it removes very easily. Really need to use my fingernail to text, as my fingers are too large and keep making errors. The stylis is a plus and it hangs from the phone. Phone works well and no repairs yet. Wish it had better internet, a little slow, and small, wish it would pop up the pictures etc from email, rather than just the text. Over all it is a nice phone.

    PLEASEEEE READ!!!!!! this phone is okay.... I've had this phone for a little while now, and its not a very well-made phone. The QWERTY attachment keyboard is fine, except for the fact that it makes your phone so much more bigger, so it sticks 10 feet out of your pocket! its embarrassing and looks like you're carrying a brick around in your pants. and it stops working! half of my buttons on my QWERTY attachment stopped working. it stinks, and defeats the whole purpose in having one! The touch phone keyboard stinks aswell!! i can't even use the virtual keyboard on my phone. if you press one button it either doesn't press, or presses the wrong key. so i have to use the other virtual one. i hate it with a passion! im so sick of this phone. the top of mine is coming off, which makes my ...
