I decided to buy it because according to tests made by several experts; this product is one of the fastest 500 GB Hard Drive made for notebooks in our days. It is working in my Sony Vaio VGN-560F notebook replacing the original HITACHI SATA I 5400rpm of the same capacity and this new Hard Drive was super compatible with it. Before this event, I was surprised with an incompatibility of a 500 GB 5400rpm SATA II HD from another manufacturer (SAMSUNG HM501 II) installed first, but it was a problem of Sony's BIOS that did like not recognize it – but this same SAMGUNG HD is working fine by now in a TOSHIBA SATELLITE A135 notebook. I also gave a try for another model from SAMSUNG – HM500JI (500 GB 5400rpm SATA II) and it was accepted with no problem in this same Sony Vaio VGN-560F notebook - a ... Excellent Hard Drive that has lots of storage space and is fast !
This Drive offers near double the storage space as my prior 320GB Hard drive and I got it for the same price! Another great eBay find!

That HD rocks!
Replaced a 120Gb one in my laptop and it makes a huge difference. Totally recommended. Now I have a very fast Windows 7 boot or hibernation resume for a good price.
