With a maximum aperture of f/4.0-5.6 across the 70 mm-210 mm zoom range, the Quantaray MX AF lens is best suited for medium-range distances and no further than 100 yards if clarity and detail are desired. The f/4.0-5.6 lens is value-priced for the novice or semi-professional photographer. This f/4.0-5.6 lens is light enough to carry around while traveling without weighing the photographer down. The barrel on this autofocus lens does not turn in order to zoom; rather, zoom is enabled by sliding the barrel. When not in use, this Quantaray MX AF lens should be stored in a dry place and within a hard case for maximum protection.

    Value for the price paid, fairly good picture quality

    I got this zoom as I want to try how the cheap lens come out. Actually I did not turn me down. Positive on the weight, value, good picture with bright ambient. Opposite side is the build quality is just fair, AF a bit lose, and push zoom is not accurate. In overall this kind of 3rd party zoom is value for the price you pay around 20-40 dollars depend on the condition. If you seek for quality you have to pay for more 10-100 times of this price for 1:2.8 lens. I used only 2 weeks and sell it to other people at the same price I got. Cheers Kot Nelson

    Great Lens

    I love the lens, it's my walk around for most of the photo's I take. Thank You. I bought the item for use w/my Sony A200 DSLR. The results of the photo's have been more than expected since I really didn't pay that much for it. It is one of my favorites and I can see using it a lot more in the future.

    NICE LENS, NICE PRICE

    I wanted a long lens for my daughter-in-law's Sony @100. This was a value-priced lens that does the job. Only thing is I would have rather had a lens where the barrel turned to zoom, rather than sliding the barrel. But that is a minor issue. Otherwise very nice.
