I got this to load for sporting clays. The loader works great. Even though used, this is in essence a brand new machine! YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER BARGAIN on a used/ new loader. All the consumable parts are replaced, everything is tested and you can literally pull the loader out of the box, mount it in place, load your shot and powder and start loading.

Don't think twice about this deal of the Century. I sent Ray what I would call a pretty crappy example of a MEC Jr and what i received back was a thing of beauty. The chrome looks great the bluing was redone and the base was powder coated a nice red. All worn or missing parts replaced. The whole process the and back was about 10 days. highly recommended.

One of the best
The MEC 600Jr I recently bought on Ebay was made a 1966 model. The design has changed little over the years but if you can score one of the pre 1982 models you will have a fine single stage reloader that will easily outlive you. All the parts are made of metal and built to last. the metal wad guide fingers on mine are original but plastic wad guides are available as replacements. Try to ensure that the metal crimp starters for 6 or 8 crimp hulls are included. However even if they are missing, Mec does offer a plastic replacements which can be fitted to the 600Jr. Fortunately the metal crimp starter in mine was included. Very easy press to use if not doing high volume parts and powder bushings are readily available wish it had shot bushings as well as the bars don't drop what they're supposed to as far as shot goes other than that I'll give it an A+
