    Product looks great and should work fine. I have the turbine on a temp pole until I get the tower system completed. I don't have near the wind resource I had at another location but for the price these sell for, I can afford to invest in more later on. The charge controller is quite small physically and is heavy so it will hopefully do a good job. Personally being somewhat of an electronics buff, I would like very much to be able to see the schematics and a BOM used in the controller.

    Not a good item, had plenty of wind today and it didn’t even move. I was very excited about it but it does not move . The wind would have to be very strong to get this thing to move. It spins freely if you turn it by hand, so there’s nothing locked up or anything. I’m very disappointed with this item. I’ve wanted one of these for 10 years. Finally get it and…. Nothing! Seller shipped it quickly and had a good price but that’s the only good that I’ve seen so far.

      Has lots of potential once the purchaser realizes what I;ve posted here, & fixes this issue. Buy this turbine, extend tail and make it bigger

      This turbine for the most part is nicely constructed. There is however a flaw in the design. That flaw is the tail assembly. The tail vane is too small along with the support shaft for this tail which is too short! It needs to be extended a bit or a larger tail can be fit to the support shaft. My experience with this 500w unit was that it would start up, get going then turn around out of the wind forcing the blades to stop and reverse then for the most part stay that way as the blades are actually aimed forward into the wind slighty just as a tailess design. Now if the blades were aimed further this way without a tail, it would function nicely as a down wind unit. I have had a fair amount of experience with small turbines up to a 65kw unit that was machanically directed into the wind with ...
