About this product

Product Information

A. A. Milne's most famous literary creation springs to life in the palms of your hands with Disney's Winnie the Pooh: Adventures in the 100 Acre Wood for the Game Boy Color. You control lovable bear Pooh as he treks through the woods, encounters his friends, and plays mini-games and board games. You'll help him hunt for honey, go fishing, do exercises, catch acorns, decorate his house, bounce with Tigger, and get unstuck from Rabbit's doorway after eating too much honey. Things can even get a little scary sometimes as Tigger gets lost and Piglet gets caught in a flood.

Most of the board games involve Pooh rolling dice to determine the number of steps he can take to reach a certain spot on the board in a specified number of moves. As you progress through the 100 Acre Woods, encountering friends and playing board games, you will receive mini-games to stock in your cupboard and picture books to put on your bookshelf. Some of the games will even let you play as Eeyore, Tigger, Rabbit, Roo, or Piglet! After you have collected all of the books, you can go show them to Christopher Robin.

To help you with the board games, you can collect cards that are scattered throughout the woods. These will enable you to stop the other characters for a couple of turns, remove water from the game board, or plant seedlings in Rabbit's carrot farm. Walking on special steps (such as puddles) will bounce you to another part of the woods, enable you to hide, subtract two from your roll on the die, or make you lose a couple of turns. Landing on a moon, star, or sun step will open up a new road on the map of the woods.

If Pooh gets tired, you can let him take a nap. If you want a break from the gaming action, you can pick out a picture book and read it. A special battery inside the cartridge lets you save your earned mini-games, books, and other progress after you turn off your game system.

This seller had an item that was priced well. The communication during the entire process was good. The item was brand new just as described. Lastly, it arrived on time and it was packaged well enough that if didn’t have a loose disc or any of that nonsense. I’m grateful for this deal and I’ll be looking for more just like it. Thank you.

  • Good game for toddlers

I bought this game for my preschooler, He is four, he likes the game. I didn't have to play the whole game for him like most of the others. Very good game for 4-5 year olds. Easy plot just minimal reading, (not too much but just explainign what to do) He can sit and play the game by himself

  • Great!

So happy I found this game! I played it all the time when I was a kid and gave me great nostalgia!

  • foreign langauge not usable

I ordered several games from you and this one is one of the antique ones from the begining of time I was told and the other one is in german is what I have been told. In case you don't know most people don't know this language in the south. I was very disappointed. I know very little about these and I'm a very new grandmother and I just have lot to learn so I will know what to look for.
