    makes high-pitched whine when plugged into a fully charged laptop

    Charger works fine. It's significantly bigger (50% longer; heavier to match) than the stock charger (which I lost on an airplane). When the laptop is fully charged, the charger's mode-switching circuitry makes an audible high-pitched buzz that is irritating. Pros: works normally; overnight shipping. Cons: buzz; size.
