Tsunami 2 - TSU21 pin EMD sound decoder
I love good technology - and this is one of the best "updates" to decoder technology to come out in a year or so. The 21 pin version - whether it is a sound decoder or just a motor decoder is a definate step in the right direction - it gives you a smaller decoder (unlike the larger plastic wrapped Tsunamis and an easy interface to plug into and try different decoders in the same locomotive! As to the sound and adjustments - I still think Soundtraxx Tsunami 2s have the best sound, multiple adjustments to taylor your decoder to the speakers you can fit into the engine and the drive portion of the decoder is simply top notch. I always use speed curves to speed match my engines (multiple different brands with a variety of decoders) and this is one of the easiest to manipulate and match with ...
