A friend whose opinion I value had been raving about John Barrowman for months, so when I saw this CD on sale I picked it up. I was astounded. I'd never paid much attention to Cole Porter's music--had the usual American exposure to some of the tunes, since all the cuts on this CD are classics--but I had never heard them performed so effortlessly, or with such clarity. Barrowman does the music justice, and then some--romantic, (In the Still of the Night) amusing (Just One of Those Things), or scathing (Miss Otis Regrets)--he moves from one mood to another as though music is his natural element. I saw this 'review opportunity' while looking for more of Mr Barrowman's music here on Ebay. I have a short list -- a very short list -- of performers I would like to see live, and John ... A True Artist
Loved this CD and would buy anything that John Barrowman put out. I own all of his CDs and there isn't one I don't like. You know with some CDs you skip a song or two, Well I have 6 of his CDs and I listen to every song. You can't go wrong with his beautiful rich voice. Just preview "What About US" one of my faves in fact its my alarm clock.

I love Cole Porter and a fan of John's BBC work. So, I had to get the CD, I was surprised to hear what a nice voice he has. I'm glad I took the time to order it. It does not hurt that he is so damn cute
