I contacted the seller through EBAY and they were quick to respond and attempted to make the transaction right. Another fan+heatsink was shipped to me overnight, but unfortunately still did not fit.     Exactly as described, top quality oem as i'd hoped. Shipping was ok, but box was pretty mushed up, wish seller would stuff more newspaper or something in box to protect. Seller accidentally sent only one instead of the two i ordererd. They responded apologized promised to ship the missing item. I was impatient, contaced them again next day, didn't look like it had shipped, they fast shipped it to me in few days, much faster than first package.

    Small but powerful

    I purchased two of these units for an Intel server board with dual Xeon chips. These are the standard coolers for Xeon 5400 series CPUs, so they do not have a backing plate as they are designed to be mounted through the board directly to the chassis. I booted booted these up using some nuts on the board mounted spring backing and they work like a charm. Since I only tested for POST they ran at full speed, but I was able to carry on a conversation even though the board was exposed on a table next to me. This is a good product for a simple server, or any LGA 771 board, as long as you can find a third-party backplate or you have an SSI standard case.
