My 3 year old is obsessed with bowling and enjoys playing a bowling game I have on my cell phone. I bought him this game to get my phone away from him....it's the only gameboy bowling game I could find. It's an excellent game in the sense of it's easy enough for a young child (all you really have to do is keep pushing the A button. However, the elves comments are pretty rude (which is why it's rated T) which my son isn't quite old enough to really get what they're saying but I still try to keep the volume turned down (he of course usually turns it back up). So, I am pleased with the game as far as for my particular use but overall I'd have to say....It's too easy for an older child (teen), yet too rude for a young child.
It's a fun little game set up to pass the time while you're taking a crap on the toilet you can play as long as you want or short as you want each game only last probably a couple minutes

A few years ago I received an email with a computer version of Elf Bowling. This turned out to be a highly addictive game. I purchased a Game Boy Advance a few months ago and while looking for games discovered Elf Bowling 1&2. Of course I had to have it. I have not been disappointed. This game is so much fun and the same as the computer game. The elves are as disruptive as the computer game so you need to keep the sound up to listen to their insults. I actually "bowled" a 213 which is the most ever for me either live bowling or computer bowling. For those not familar, the elves go on strike so Santa decides to rectify the situation by using his elves as bowling pins. The object is the same as real bowling and the game keeps score for you. I'm not sure this is a good game for small children as one of the elves gets decapitated, and one moons Santa. Not to mention, body function sounds. Elf Bowling 2 is fun also. You, as Santa "toss" the elves down the deck of the ship trying not to throw them overboard as the sharks will eat them. You score points by how far they go without going overboard. Sort of like shuffleboard. I highly recommend this game but will warn the readers, it is hard to put down.Read full review
