Give it a chance. Great comedy !

I have to admit. I liked this movie when i first watched it. But, i didn't fully appreciate it until i had watched it a second time. You really get the genius in the humor the second time around. It seriously grows on you. Very few movies are this way. The characters in this movie are outstanding. They play their individual parts perfectly. Let the mind go for a while and just enjoy a good comedy with a crazy western and sci fi mix. Don't take it too seriously and you will definitely find it entertaining.

  • Good movie BUT some things we’ve seen before & TOO MUCH CRAIG

I have been a fan & collector of Harrison's for over 30 years. I USED to be first in the door opening day for his films. I did want to be there for this one but could not make it. Now, we see latest Bond Craig throughout this movie & he got top billing. Why, the current in the long list of this character. No other hit movies. Now, Harrison. Let's see. Oscar nominated for Witness. Played two famous movie characters Han Solo & Indiana Jones. Long time biggest movie money maker. The film is good. You have seen the ending a million times. The Wilde character, I won’t do spoilers here, you could guess. Could hardly see a lot of the night action. Took forever to see the aliens. Stole part of that idea from "Alien". Normal special ...

  • Intertesting blend of Western & sci-fi genres

When the planet is threatened by an alien invasion, humans set aside their differences and unite in fighting a common enemy. Since this is the Old West, it is probably not realistic that a sadistic cattle baron would cooperate with the poor townspeople he enthralls --- not to mention the local natives, a wanted criminal, and a woman --- but wouldn't it be nice if they DID all get along and find lasting comeraderie and redemption? For the sake of the movie, this is necessary; it is, after all, an action-adventure film, not a depressing story of humans squabbling among themselves. As in the Westerns of old, you want to root for the good guys and cheer when they vanquish the bad guys; not surprisingly, once the humans put aside their differences and team up, the audience gets what it wants. ...

  • Explosion across the screen!

This DVD to watch was awesome! The story line was so original for a change and not a remake. The actors were excellent! As usual Daniel Craig just shined! You did not know to hug, kiss, or hate him great! all the characters were so deep! This movie had something in it for everyone! This movie had cowboys, Indians, and aliens! drama, action, Sci-fi, romance and battle scenes, gunfight scenes, dog, horses, special effects and beautiful, desert scenery! This movie reminded you of iron man, Indiana Jones, Independence day and like custard's last stand! The only thing this movie was missing was the ninjas. This is so creative, visually stunning, and non-stop suspense that something would be wrong if you did not come away after watching this DVD amazed and wowed!!!!!!!!

  • The 'Old Guy" and the "Young Guy" meets "Si fi"

Where to begin. The movie started after a fashion, but hit a 'bor-ing' stretch before getting exciting. The action came hard and fast as the 'Cowboys' began to fight back. The story does wrap up some lose ends which I felt could have been sooner, but that's the film editor. As for the story line and plot... I liked/loved it. Scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 4. Harrison Ford eventually brings the macho maturity and Daniel Craig- the "cold/calculated agility, just what I'd expect from the "Fugitive" and 007. I'll keep my DVD and watch it again.
