  • A Great Way To Find Inner Peace & Reflection about Life

It's true that "our lives are stream flowing into the same river toward whatever heaven lies in the mist beyond the falls. Close you eyes and let the waters take you home." This quote came directly from the film by Morgan Freeman's character as he narrates along parts of the movie about his feelings towards his life and about his new found friend. Although Freeman's character had a wife and family in the film, it really didn't seem to matter about the time he had left to spend with them, he wanted something different for once out of his experience. Although we get the idea from the beginning that Jack Nicholson was a bitter and frustrated individual who thought money could buy happiness, we find later that his heart had been cold to many important things in life such as his relationship ...

  • This movie deserves better reviews!

I bought this DVD because I've loved "The Bucket List" from the first time I saw it. I simply cannot understand why the movie reviewers in the newspapers &entertainment magazines only rate this movie as "one star". Icons Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson play their roles brilliantly. So it's about having cancer; sure, that's a bummer. But the movie does not make fun of having cancer(the subject of cancer itself is dead serious; no pun intended). It illustrates what most of us wish we could do with the remainder of our lives if we were diagnosed with terminal cancer, and were rich enough and able. One critic blasted it because "so much of it was shot against a green screen". Well, so what?!? Who cares how the shots were acheived? They appear realistic. Also. I should include that Sean Hayes ...

  • Review The Flippen Movie NOT Ebay Or The Seller!

Reviewing the Seller or Ebay or the quality of your dvd or vhs is quickly becomming a pet peeve of mine..It states plainly this section is to review the movie not the Seller or ebay..can anyone read? Now onto the review: This film brought back alot of bad memories..I lost my Father to brain cancer and I saw him go through alot of these same things so this movie was kinda upsetting for me, but I persevered because 1) my baby wanted to see it and 2) I love Morgan Freeman..if you are looking for alot of comedy this is not the film for you..yes it does have it's moments, but this is mainly about two Men one wealthy Jack Nicholson the other working class Morgan Freeman dealing with death..there are tears, anger and a few laughs..but mainly imo this is a serious movie that has it's comedic ...

  • FUNNY but PATHETIC and SAD at the same time

It was funny and it would really be laughable if it wasn't for the fact that most people really do die of cancer when it is totally curable according to a Special Medical Research Committee led by Dr. Milbank Johnson who did a 3-month study Under the auspices of The University of Southern California to test the effectiveness of an electronic ray tube device for cancer. They treated 16 terminal patients, which were all pronounced cured after 91 days according to the documented results. "The Rise and Fall of a Scientific Genius" by zero zero 2 productions and "The Cancer Cure That Worked" by Barry Lynes both tell the story. A summary is at http://computerizedraytube.com/history.html.
