Great replacement part for a good value. You will have to change your piping.
So this top is great. I replaced the one that came with my pump S244T, but there are some VERY important things to note. This is not a drop in replacement. This requires you to completely change your piping to make use of it. The way the standard top for the Hayward filters work is they have a backwash valve going out the left side, and then they have both an intake and an outtake going out the right side. This generic one is completely different. It has a backwash going out the left and the outtake going out the right like the default unit, but the intake is in a completely different location. It is actually on the back side of this. This could result in significant changes to how your pipes are ran. For me, my actual pump was in the front of my Hayward filter, so I had to completely ... So this top is great. I replaced the one that came with my pump S244T, but there are some VERY important things to note. This is not a drop in replacement. Second thing of note, if you use this, make sure you move the O-ring from the bottom of your old top onto this new one, or you will be spraying water everywhere. The image is also highly misleading by showing a pressure gauge. Mine came without a pressure gauge and instead just had that section capped. The default replacement top actually comes with this part, and part of the reason I had ordered this instead of going piecemeal with the pieces I needed was because the image showed the gauge, so I figured I could just do a single purchase and be good to go. If you get this, you also need to separately buy the pressure gauge. Other than that it fits and works perfectly so far and really is a good value. I installed it 5 days ago, and so far so good.

Fixed my problem
This 6 valves sand filter top really fits perfect on my old one. Same exact type. My old one the handle broke and i just went ahead and brought this. It’s way better than my old cartridge filter also. Thank you and I’ll recommend you try it yourself. It’s cheap products.

Generic SP0714T Valve worx great, but prepare to re-run PVC piping!
The valve worx well at all settings. The only complaint I have is I had to re-run the PVC piping due to in, out, & waste connections being on opposite sides.

Top is a little different than my original but I cannot begin to say how easy it is to move with the handle compared to my last. I actually like this Alot better. Accessory holes are on different spots @ top labels are too but fits fine!!
