    Not what I expected

    I had purchased this thread to use for embroidery on raw linen hand towels. While it is beautiful floss, without knots or slubs, it did not stand up to repeated pulls through the fabric as is required for stem stitch. Using two ply, I would rarely stitch more than 2" without the thread fraying and breaking. Even using a thread conditioner such as Thread Heaven did not extend the life of the strand. It is beautiful thread and the color is deep and consistent (I also bought black), but I have yet to find a technique that will showcase the floss while working with its drawbacks. Maybe a french knot sampler?
