    Stop thinking and purchase

    This tripod is great, it lets you feel secure about your camera safety. But the best feature about the tripod is that it is very compact, with a moderate size family and a mid size SUV space is critical.

    52" tripod for nikon

    Sorta flimsy, so I was hesitant to say it's stable, but I guess you'll be fine with it as long as you don't go crazy. Personally, I wish I'd just bitten the bullet and bought something a little more sturdy, but I'm the type that tends to like overkill.

    ... best tripod you can get for 10 bucks ...

    ... I just have to say that I do not have any experience before buying this tripod, I needed one to take pictures to my work to put in my portfolio, and did a little bit or research... and BAM! I say a Vivitar tripod for only 10 bucks! and here I am writing this review, to let other people know that it is a really good item for its prices... The tripod comes with a nylon bag with a strap, good to carry it on. The tripod itself it is not made off the most expensive materials, but hey! it is only 10 buck! and I used already to take some pictures and it works great with my "point and shoot" Canon camera. So if you need a really cheap 52" brand tripod, this is definitively a winner!...

    Not fluid head, false advertising.

    The head is not fluid head as advertised on the box. Pan and tilt are sticky and jerky, don't expect any usable pan or tilt video footage. It will work for small cameras performing static shots or stills on the cheap. Do not buy if you intend to pan or tilt in video recording mode.

    No pan or tilt´s...

    The price is great. It works for casual use and unpretentious, so even if you use it for stills camera preferably with a "point and shoot." For video not recommend it. It has many plastic parts. The head was for me the biggest problem, if you plan to do pan and tilt's forget it! If your camera weighs more than any canon rebel with a 18-55 lens believe you put your equipment at risk. Pros: Very light and compact, fits in a backpack. Cons: Poor quality, many plastic parts, the head is only good for stills, some parts may come off if you unscrew them too. If your intention is to make videos, really, do not buy this tripod.
