Bought for a bicycling road trip to Moab, Utah -- about 300 miles. I had one flat - piece of metal, was carrying about 10 pounds on the back tire with an Apidura bag. Comfortable ride, compliant, worked well over Soldiers Summit, on the interstate, over gravel, and on all bike paths --- did well at 40MPH, in snow, sleet, rain, and sun, the tires are home now and still have no visible wear on them. Easy to change a flat, excellent rolling resistance. I would buy again.

I started riding in 1950 at age 13 and sew-ups were all we had. As better clinchers started to become more available, we started using them sometime in the late 50's. In all my years of tire changing, both for myself and for the clients of the bike shops I worked in, I never met a tire I could not mount with my fingers..........until these Continental Sport ! Also they are 50 grams heavier than my 700x23 Michelin Lithion.2 take-offs. If I use anything near max 120 psi I feel every little pebble as though they were big rocks on the road. At 110 psi They ride OK, but not as fast as my old Michelin's. I like the grippy soft rubber, but it does get cut easy.

I was looking for a decent pair of road tires for my bike and found the Continental Ultra Sports at a very affordable price. I liked the high threads per inch, foldable and long lasting thread. SO far, with about 300 miles on them, they work perfect and feel very confident inspiring under me. If the last several thousand miles, I will buy them again.

I bought two, because i wanted to swap out both of my tires. the first one went smoothly. but the second was defective out of the box. there was a hole on the outer wall of the tire. when i try to inflate a tube it pushes out the side, which causes it to pop. The tires are a great deal for the price. If they had both been ok this would have easily been 5 stars.

Folding bead tires the equivalent of a standard full-bead - same carcass, tread pattern and compound as full-bead. Easy to install and store. I plan to buy these for my road bike from now on.
