    Proper replacement for the "de-emphasis" toggle switch" for Tandberg 3001a

    Mr. "packrat" has been a long time excelent source for replacement/repair parts for the vintage Tandberg equipment, and this toggle switch confirms that fact. Easy to break its small handle (which protuberates out from the back of the unit), the "de-emphasis" toggle switch serves for selecting the proper "de-emphasis" choice, in between three positions/values: 25uS (correction for the radio stations which use the Dolby system); 50uS (correction for the European stations pre-emhasis standard); 75uS (correction for the North Am. pre-emphasis standard). I take the oportunity here to strongly recommend to try all three options! I have discovered that, in Toronto, Ontario, at least, the 25uS setting sounds way cleaner than the 75uS, which by reading the "User manual" recomendations one would be ...
