Price was excellent. Shipping amazingly fast. One of the tuners wasn't fully in it's housing but l was able to fix that. All of the flanges had to be filed down which is common when you're installing on an aftermarket neck. Anyway, Great seller! Any complaints are on Fender.

I got a new MIM 70s neck and my old tuners wouldn't work with it, so I bought these Fender 70s style tuners. They were a perfect fit, dropped right in, and installed in 10 minutes. They look good too. I'm very happy with my purchase. Quick shipping and tracking. Thank you.

Just a heads up here YMMV...

I had these installed in a 70s Fender Mustang neck; expecting a direct fit. Of course I can not confirm if a 70s Stratocaster neck is going be the same situation here. I would imagine that they should be the same; but the mustang had cheaper tuners with plastic knobs so they might indeed be a different animal altogether. It cost me quite a bit of money by the time the Luthier was done because he had to ream the ferrule holes out (from both sides) as well as re-fill the screw holes in with broken off tooth picks and super glue so he could re-drill new pilot holes for the screws. The old ferrules were a different size. The tunes did fit although they are Shorter than the originals. You can still get 3 winds on the low E string - barely. Maybe these are for reissues with thinner necks? ...

Not My Favorite Style but They Work

These fit perfectly and I hesitate to criticize, especially at this price, but the chrome finish is inconsistent and imperfect. Two of them have an orange peel effect as in a poor paint job. Plus, I didn't realize they are slotted ends rather than the hole, so they're more difficult to use, for me anyway. I give them 3 stars for fit and function, as they do work well and are very reasonably priced. That I don't like the split versus hole for attaching strings is my own issue, not their's. Nevertheless, I've already ordered another type to replace these. Overall, if you take pride in your guitar as I do, I just can't recommend these tuners.

  • Weird - The shafts are too short to full...

Weird - The shafts are too short to fully protrude from the face of a telecaster. I left them in there, but it looks goofy. They were made overseas, which I guess shouldn't be a surprise. Prior to getting these, I had a real set of original 1969 tuners on the same headstock that worked fine and fit perfectly but needed to go back on their original neck. I only bought these so the screw-holes would match. These are odd even though they are from Fender. I'd never get them again.

  • Well made. Lack of common centre to centre distances a pain.

The tuners are well made but they are not the same size as the original Schaller 70's tuners. The bushings are a larger diameter. That is not too big a problem since the tuner holes can be reamer from 11/32" to 10mm. The bigger problem is the stamped backs are longer and have to be filed to fit together. This is a real pain. I cannot understand why Fender does not have common centre to centre distances on their guitars. This would greatly simplify tuner replacement.

  • 70's F logo tuners

These are very nice for the price. I have an original 1977 Stratocaster here and these look to be an exact copy at first glance, but there are some differences that are only possible to see by measuring. The shafts are just a bit shorter than the originals. The bushings are 10mm, like conversion bushings, so I am assuming these are different too. I am not pulling my original bushings for a comparison, for obvious reasons, maybe some one else has? These do work great and look the part. I got this set to install on a 1979 Stratocaster that I am working on at the moment. I have no neck, so purchased an All parts LMO 70's big headstock, bullet truss rod neck to use on this body. FYI the All parts neck I got was drilled for vintage Kluson style tuners, so fitting these was a PITA. I had ...
