Almost but no cigar
This could be a great mono-pod but falls short. Externally it is well made, beautifully proportioned, light and solid. The problem is the way it is locked and unlocked by the twist-locks, it is not cleanly locked or unlocked consistently. The twist-locks have to often be readjusted, in order to get the legs to be shortened. When I think I have opened the twist collar and go to shorten the segment, it won't move, I have to open the twist-collar a bit more first. This leads to a "fiddly" situation and frustration, and more twisting. It slows me down. I work with a mono-pod a lot, and especially for macro. I need to keep my eye on my subject and adjust my mono-pod length quickly and seamlessly, or miss the shot. I will work with this mono-pod, but the collar/clasping technology was ... Its not as smooth as the 3 or times more expensive ones but it works well. I bought a tilt head and quick release for it which I highly recommend. It is light weight and plenty tall with the tilt head for a 6 ft person.
