Synopsis
In this sequel to Rabbit, Run, John Updike resumes the spiritual quest of his anxious Everyman, Harry "Rabbit" Angstrom. Ten years have passed; the impulsive former athlete has become a paunchy thirty-six-year-old conservative, and Eisenhower's becalmed America has become 1969's lurid turmoil of technology, fantasy, drugs, and violence. Rabbit is abandoned by his family, his home invaded by a runaway and a radical, his past reduced to a ruined inner landscape; still he clings to semblances of decency and responsibility, and yearns to belong and to believe.

- 3***p (88)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseI've ordered from Rarewaves here in the US and the UK multiple times, and continue to do so. They always seem to have something I can't find anywhere else at all or for a reasonable price. When I purchase used items, they are as described, if not a grade better. Aways a quick turnaround after ordering, every item arrives promptly, professionally packaged. Many orders have free shipping, even for solitary item orders. I never needed a reason to communicate, as I've had no cause. Recommended.
- n***1 (53)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseItem arrived still wrapped as advertised but it must have taken some damage in transit since it arrived with a couple cracks and a small chunk of the frame of the case had completely detached. BUT the discs were still undamaged so I messaged the seller to tell them I was still going to keep the item I just wanted to let them know about the issue and they messaged me back and offered me 20% off the order to make up for the inconvenience. Great seller. Would purchase from them again.
- d***n (364)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseOverall a good experience and a good seller. Book arrived in good condition, however the package was just a bubble envelope with no cardboard or additional safety measures against bending. Book was priced around cover price and looks amazing. Only downside was it took a long time to ship out. However when I inquired the seller promptly replied with a very kind and personal message, ensuring me of the date it would ship and was very courteous.
