    Better than some other alternatives

    The used Sony Walkman Sports radio I purchased is in very good condition and shows signs of very light use. I purchased it to use while kayaking on area lakes. The highly rated Chinese radio that I had previously been using had lousy reception and would not stay tuned to stations or maintain a level volume. Today on a lake this Sony Sports Walkman performed considerably better than the previous radio. Although it it performed well overall staying tuned and maintaining a level volume, there were a couple of areas on the lake that it picked up a lot of interference for unknown reasons. Overall I think it is a good radio for my intended use.

    Sadly, Sony is usually top notch, this one must have been used (unkindly)

    It was advertised as great quality, I don't agree. It won't set new stations, cuts off at will, reception is acceptable, but not good. It is clean looking.

    Great Sony AM/FM Radio

    Great little AM/FM radio with removable armband for hands free use. Good sound and reception. Five presets for both AM and FM. Buttons can sometime be accidentally touched causing an unwanted station change but that rarely happens. (Occasionally, volume control can be accidentally moved with similar unwanted results.) Uses 2 AAA batteries so play time is longer and replacement is less frequent. Overall, a dependable quality product from Sony...

    SONY is the one !

    First of all the brand name SONY says a lot. It has a very good reputation for quality and performance. I live in the New York area and reception is never a problem. The radio is small and light weight. The wrist band can be removed quickly if you want to put the radio in a shirt pocket. The preset buttons make all the difference when changing stations on the fly. I recommend this radio to anyone working or playing outdoors.

    Good compact radio

    I bought the Sony to listen to Husker football games while at the game. It has performed l8ke I would hope that it would. The volume is very good and the reception is very good as well.
