Right where the questions begin, facts overturn modern assumptions
Not your average author to defend or explain faith. Dr. Pitre explains and shows how the knowledge of the original languages, the historical and cultural backdrop leads to the true understanding of the old and new testaments and debunks the notion often heard in academia that the Gospels were written by "Anonymous" or that the ancient texts were derived from a child's game of telephone. Not so, and just how impossible this is is also explained. After having struggled within academia himself amidst so many new but unfounded in fact notions, the author researched with passion to explain with careful detail many historical events, dates and for example, prophesy of Daniel. The read will not be disappointed. The sentence structure and ideas are expressed in an easy-to-read format in order that a a college age read can grasp without feeling overwhelmed or disinterested. As far as organization goes, the chapters flow without detours. The journey is an adventure through history in a way you may never have traveled.
