  • Shifts smoothly and consistently

Other chains I've used would shift ok most of the time and required a continual adjustment of the shifter barrel adjusters during rides, especially as the chain aged with use. I swapped to this chain last year upon a recommendation of a friend and I have been very pleased with this chain. It shifts smoothly and consistently. I can't tell the last time I touched the shifter barrel adjusters. This chain lasted me about 10 months before I bought a new one.

  • Always Gets Me Home

I have 33,000 miles on these chains, typically replacing them at around 5k. I ride 30-40 miles from home before turning around, and I need a chain that will always get me home. That’s this one. I weigh more than I should, and I climb hills. There are lighter chains on the market, and I’m not going anywhere near them. That is not the right place to shave away grams. I’d rather keep the chain intact and get home without having to pay a $90 Uber tab. Quality is excellent. Materials are good enough to last no matter what I throw at it. It’s affordable enough that I do not hesitate to change it as soon as the stretchometer hits 0.75. This is exactly the way a ten-speed chain should be.

  • Why pay more?

I’ve been using KMC chains for years and they provide dependable and consistent shifting. The master link makes changing them easy and fast. I probably change them more often because they’re inexpensive and easy to change, which has the added benefit of prolonging the life of the rest of the drivetrain.

  • Good Quality and Great Value 10 speed Chain

This 10 speed chain WITH a quick link is a great value. The silver outer plates contrast nicely with the black inner plates. With proper chain tools it was very easy to install. It runs quietly.

  • Great Quality at a Very Good Price

This chain shifts smoothly and quickly and quickly on my Tiagra drive-train. KMC quik disconnect link seems to work well. The silver outer plate contrasting against black links looks great. I can't comment on durability, but other reviews indicate thees X series chain wear is noticeably better than other chains. I think this a top quality chain at a very good price.

  • For the price it's great, but doesn't last quite as long

You can't beat the price or versatility of this chain but for me at least it doesn't last as long as others. I am a lazy maintenance bike owner so generally only replace a chain when I start hearing that it's not meshing well (I know...) On a Campy chain I'd easily get 3500 miles or more but with these I get maybe 2000 miles and it's so stretched that it's jumping gears. Still it's half the price so I think you still come out ahead. I suppose I'd rather burn through inexpensive chains than replacing cogs and chainrings! The quick link connector is great.

  • Compact conversion

Converted a 53/39 road set to 50/34 compact. The original chain needed replacement. This chain was easy to size and assemble with the included link. It shifts flawlessly and runs silent. I would buy this chain again.

  • Great on Shimano and Campy 10 speed

I replaced my dad’s x10 chain with this one because it performed so well up to this point on his Cannondale frame with Shimano 105 drivetrain. I also run this on my wife’s Campy Mirage on her Bianchi Eros Donna. Very smooth running and great value.

  • The cure for shifting ills.

I should have replaced the chain first thing when my bike started shifting like crap. No amount of derailleur adjustment can compensate for stretch and wear, and KMC chains are stellar. I run them on both Shimano and Sram and they just work. Will buy again!

  • Great 10 speed chain for the money.

I have purchased a few of them and let me tell you that they are not the lightest chain out there, but also with that said the thing doesn’t stretch like a crazy expensive light weight chain. I’m super happy with that!!
