They do not alter the capacity of the magazine. These units will add 5/8" additional length for better control and comfort. They are made from High Impact Polymer and withstand drop tests at temperatures from -20 F to 350 F. If your looking at purchasing this item theirs no question why. The Pearce grip is a must, allowing a full grip on the sub compact line of Glocks. For my wife it aided in stability, increasing accuracy, and follow up shots. Which helped her confidence. They give me the grip needed to shoot the Glock 26 comfortably. These extensions fit properly. The Glock mags have protrusions on the sides that lock the base in place. These extensions accommodate these protrusions to lock in place the extensions. I don't think other brands have this feature.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good but not needed
I thought I would try this because of all the positive reviews. It`s well made. It gives a place for your pinky finger to rest but you really don`t need it because you don`t grip any pistol with your pinky. Maybe it`s just me because I have owned my G27 for 20 yrs. and have just gotten used to the shorter grip. In fact it is easier to shoot two handed when my pinky is under the grip! Get your pinky on there!
This base plate is perfect to get a full grip on your sub compact firearm. It is easy to install once you get the factory base plate off. Works great! Pretty good
I thought they were a bit expensive for the small bit of molded plastic that they are, but they work quite well. They give a good place to put your pinky with a small g26. They are very difficult to install (hard to remove the previous magazine floorplate), but if you look around you can find a video to demonstrate how to do it.
