Mr. Johnson has published extensively on American Indian history, culture and crafts. He compiles his vast knowledge base of Iroquois life ways into this beautifully illustrated volume.... I was also pleased to see the inventory of all seventeen Six Nations recognized communities in the United States and Canada, and an inventory of the most common surnames in these communities. This is a valuable genealogical resource when many federally recognized tribes make it extremely difficult to access any genealogical information about their membership.
