Fixes the washout issues on the M21. High quality OEM look and feel.
A very well made add-on for your Meprolight M21. Looks and feels like OEM quality. Fixes the well known dark-to-light washout issue with the M21. Knob is a little bulky, but that also makes it very easy to grasp for changing brightness settings. Some people argue that this defeats the purpose of a battery free sight - That isn't true. Sight still works fine when the led is off, so the battery should last a very long time, since the led would be only infrequently in use. If you have the M21 this device is a bargain and great solution to deal with the washout issue. BTW, would also solve the problem if your tritium is dying, but you would then have to manually turn the led on when in the dark. Still, a lot better than throwing the sight away because it doesn't work in the dark.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works well, but not too practical
Clever item. Works really well to light up the sighting point when viewing from darker area into bright light with zero washout...BUT it's large and really sticks out to the side (way wider than AR15 receiver). Seems fairly well made, but a lot of plastic so likely break if knocked which is high risk since sticking out so far or if pulled on hard by hanging up on clothing or webbing (only held by 1 screw). Would be good for outdoor target shooting from under a roof if experiencing washout. I'm going to keep it since not too expensive, and highly effective in the right situation. A must for the M21 optic.
This little LED eliminates the known issue of shooting from shade into bright daylight. It has no negative effects on NVG and has a wide range of settings. I believe it is currently being fielded by the IDF. The construction is very robust and simple. The installation was about 2 minutes and very easy to follow. An absolute must-have upgrade for your M21
Very well-built, fits the optic like a glove. Multiple settings are very useful for different light conditions, and it completely eliminates any washout issues. No wobble or anything on the actual click wheel, when switching through the illumination settings it snaps between them nicely. Still good and usable, even with the minor flaw
The index mark is just a little bit off from perfect alignment, but I can live with that. It does help with shooting from dark areas into light. Great new features
I used before the homeland arms wor V1, its brightness can be adjusted relative to it, and its maximum position is brighter. It is much easier to replace the battery, to switch it on and off, and here I am not afraid of losing the battery cover. Great product that you'll unfortunately need
The Meprolight M21 is a decent enough optic, its reticle does tend to wash out in beight sunlight. Odd? Yes. Particularly for a sight powered by light gathering fiber optics. While I would rather not have needed to purchase this illuminator, it does a terrific job of brightening the reticle in both low light and bright light. Mepro 21's sole weakness: Removed!
The Mepro 21 is an outstanding reflex sight (the Israelis don't make junk.) However, it did have a flaw. If one were aiming from a covered position, the amber tritium triangle was next to impossible to see. This product, the Rem 21 Illuminator, removes that problem completely. Buy one!
