    otter wax

    it works very good. The ability to waterproof your favorite clothing is great. I have waterproofed cloth hats, blue jeans, shirts, and old hunting bags.

    Doesn't work, money wasted....stuck with smelly clothes

    Thoroughly applied wax to two different types of garments. One was a textile type motorcycle jacket and the other was a boonie hat. After each application a heat gun was used to activate/set product. Now I have a jacket that smells sort of putrid because of the wax and is not waterproof. Thought the trade off of the smell was worth it because garment is now waterproofed, but since the wax doesn't work, just have smelly clothes......cool. No way to get it out once it sets.

    Recommended!

    Good product that is relatively easy to apply. Two things to keep in mind: 1.The bars are quite small. I needed two for a short, admittedly thick, cotton jacket. 2. You really need to apply some serious heat to get the wax to settle. A hair dryer at full blast did nothing. But a bit of ironing at high heat worked quite well.

    Works great on cotton!

    I’ve been using the stuff for a few years and it works awesome on canvas and cotton! I said it with a hairdryer but he can would probably work a lot faster it takes quite a bit of wax and time to apply but it works great and last for years and gives it a cool look. The smell is kind of funky but it fades quickly.
