    New Fuel Cap for 2012 Jetta SEL - it fits!

    The new fuel cap was shipped & delivered on time as promised; fits like it previous one. To install, remove the tab from the old one - suggest using a flat head screwdriver; also use it to push new tab in. New one also has the same bottom notch to hang the cap on the fuel door, instead of letting it flop around. Main reason to purchase was to resolve check engine code P0442 - leak in EVAP system on my '12 Jetta. After an expensive diagnosis/repair, same code still came up 2 weeks later, and only was resolved after I replaced the old with this new one. I wish I had done this first; dealership didn't even recommend this as an option during troubleshooting. Lesson learned - research and do it yourself first!
