Almost excellent speaker
Sonos One speaker sounds great, it was easy to set up, it looks good and Alexa works great although at high volumes you need to shout a bit. I am also a owner of Denon Heos 1 HS2 wireless speakers (discontinued and replaced with Denon Home 150) and which in my opinion sound even better. Heos lacks Alexa but it has better connectivity options: USB and Bluetooth on top of Wifi. I like Sonos app more than Heos. Flawless connectivity on Spotify, TuneIn and Tidal. I was able to play YouTube on Sonos through SonosTube app. Android user. Overall, Sonos One is a very good speaker but with limited connectivity. Almost perfect smart multiroom speakers
I bought a pair of Sonos One after owning a single Sonos Play 1 for about 2 weeks. I though it didn't make sense to have a quality speaker but no stereo. While the sound is good, I was not necessarily impressed (I own Bose, Yamaha, Bowers & Wilkins). Of course, sound quality is very subjective. One thing that people seem to agree on is that the lows are a little too much when loudness is on. When you turn loudness off, I find lows to weak. You may need to play with the equalizer to find a good compromise. Other than that, I'm fairly happy with sound quality for the price range but there are other options as good if not better. The reason why you may want these speakers is if you want to invest in multiroom listening. The multiroom experience is great (maybe the best today). All the speakers stay in sync with absolutely no lag. However, there are a few things I don't like about these speakers. First, they have no bluetooth or aux in. This doesn't make sense to me. Because of that, I cannot use them as speakers for my TV. I had to keep my old set of speakers for my TV. Because I wanted to use these speakers to listen to music in my living room, I need two sets of speakers now. And because I already have a set for my TV and that my TV stand is already crowded, I had to find another spot for the Sonos. So now they are not in front of me when I'm on my couch. What does it take to add an aux in to a speaker??? An issue I had with the Sonos Play 1 is that although they were Alexa compatible, you needed an echo device to use voice control. Now you can directly control the Sonos One. However, I noted that the microphones are not as good as my 2nd gen echo. This may become very frustrating.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

4.9 stars. Alexa lacks slightly
Bought this thinking it would replace my echo dot. That wasn’t the case. It’s close, but can’t fully control my tv. I read they are coming along, but it’s not quite there. The sound you ask? Great. Sounds terrific. The only cons are: doesnt integrate fully with ALexa--some tasks like music alarm don't work. And it does not have bluetooth, only wi-fi...which, if you are going to have only one is the one to have.
