Great little battery powered hand vac!
I was looking for a durable, powerful hand vac for inside the house and this fit the bill. Other hand vacs I have had seem to lose power quickly. I am able to use this to vacuum my stairway without any loss of power. It is super easy to empty. My husband had various DeWalt battery powered tools so we are able to share batteries. Materials flaw
The vacuum works well. Easy to use, easy to recharge, not heavy. I have my kids use it frequently. The hose that runs along the top is not well made and has disconnected at both ends. I know you are supposed to pull it out of the front end for detail with and small spaces, but the plastic tip should remain on the hose. Nice mini vacuum - really sucks!
Wanted to replace a dust buster where the batteries wear out. Since we have lots of DeWalt power tools and their batteries, it was a perfect fit. Just a tad heavy but balanced and great suction. Nice portable battery-powered vacuum.
We bought it primarily to vacuum the stairs in our house. Much better than lugging a heavier corded vacuum. We just have the 2.0 AH batteries and they do fine for a short two-story staircase. We'll likely use it for other vacuum jobs too and may invest in a few larger capacity batteries. Standard 1-1/4" attachments (which we already had) seem to fit fine. DeWalt Replacement for Dust Busters
Replaces the little dust buster type vacuums we all have bought. We have a free standing wood burning stove. Big brick hearth but still, can't keep ashes from falling on the brick. I own multiple DeWalt tools and have been impressed with the reliability. Cats, spills, and small messes means a dry/wet vac for the bonus room/fireplace makes a lot of sense. I have multiple batteries and would be the only down side to this product (battery and charger can run up to $100. A good buy if you already use DeWalt
A terrific handheld vacuum. It is lightweight, even with my 4 Ah battery. It has good suction and a good filter-no dust flying out the exhaust. I love the way the extension hose is easily removable for use though it would be better if it could swivel since you are likely to hold the vacuum backwards when using it. Another con is that it doesn't hold much so expect to empty it frequently. I also like that it has a corrugated style filter (think circular engine air filters in the days of carburetors) compared to slip on bag or paper style filters like many shop vacuums; this allows it to last longer between cleanings/changes and I think provides a better seal. Lastly, the construction feels solid and durable. Hopefully the motor matches the body.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
