    Epic Film Classic

    Almost flawless playback except for one 'skip' during this 6 hour 22 minute epic! There are English subtitles during the entire movie that do not match exactly with the verbal dialogue which is also in English. The section explaining the characters is non-verbal and is in an Asian language. This all should have been explained in the on-line description. As far as the acting, you will not find better! The cast is utterly amazing from the lead roles to the character roles. Musical scoring is quite emotionally inspiring. Scenery and background cinematography is breathtaking and believable. You won't find a plot that is more spell binding and a cast that has more depth and diversity.

    Great Series, especially during Lent

    I ordered this series since I have seen it before. The only disappointment is that it does not have the full introduction with Actors and Actresses credits as well as the music score that goes with it. This is a highly acclaimed series and should have the full recognition of those who played the parts to make it so successful.

    Great timing

    I liked this movie since the first time it aired around 1977 or so, and try to catch it whenever it comes on, but, it's always aired over multiple days. NOW (ha!ha!) it's in MY library -- and at a great price, too! -- so I can watch it when I want to watch it. I caught part of it during Easter weekend, and finally decided to break down and buy it for my collection, so the timing and the price were excellent, and it got here in short order, too.

    This is the one to get

    My husband had been watching this series on amazon. He requested a DVD and I read up on it and found that this particular version is the one that has many scenes not contained in other versions. My husband says this series is the most Biblical-accurate account that he has ever come across.

THERE IS NOT THE "HOLLYWOOD FLUFF" THAT MOST RELIGIOUS MOVIES ARE MADE OF. BUT IT PORTRAYS JESUS AS GOD-INCARNATE, WHO ALTHOUGH HE IS GOD, THE MOVIE PORTRAYS HIS HUMAN SIDE AS WELL.
