  • Best simple HDMI switch I've found!

Tried 3 others with auto sensing.. and none worked correctly to hook ps4 and Nintendo switch to my tv. This one works perfectly. It is a powered switch and does come with the actual adapter. Does not have a remote but don't need one anyway in auto mode. I Purchased expecting to switch devices manually but the auto sensor works flawlessly. I though Radio Shack went downhill but it's good to see that they still have quality products under their brand name. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED IF YOU JUST NEED A SIMPLE HDMI SWITCH. PS. Dont buy generic crap or anything that is not powered ... non powered HDMI switches just plain don't work.

  • Has its limitations

There is no remote control, or manual control, that would allow you to turn this unit off. I have HDMI #1 wired to my cable box. It automatically connects with no issues. I have HDMI #2 connected to a Blu-Ray player. With cable box powered off it should pick up the Blu-Ray player automatically once powered on, but it does not. It stays locked onto HDMI #1. To pick up the Blu-Ray played you must power it off, and then back on, for it to connect/pick up. A remote selector that would allow you to select between #1and #2 would be a much smoother transition. As I always tell my wife " Newer doesn't necessarily mean better".
