Although the internal components weren't very functional, it was not a surprise because the seller explicitly called out that risk in the description.     Item arrived exactly as pictured, even the power cable matched. It was very well packaged and easily survived the tests USPS put it through. Shipping cost was reasonable given the item’s weight. I got it hooked up and it started reading a tape right away. Considering the asking price of similar tape drives on eBay, this one was a good deal. I’d gladly do more business here in the future
