Great phone for the price. Battery life is long. Only issue is it is slower than what I'm used to. This phone was purchased as a "inbetween" replacement until I received my Samsung S8 plus. It still gets the job done. This phone is great for someone younger, elderly or who doesn't use the abundance of features found on expensive smart phones today. The screen quality is great. The camera is okay. Only 8 mp. It worked well for its temporary use. I updated it whenever the phone gave me notice. Of course it operated smoother. I still have it hooked up to my home wifi connection and use it as a 2nd handheld device. I regularly use the apps on it without the phone connection. I recommend this phone.

I've been a Boost Mobile customer since 2015 and gone through a number of handsets by various manufacturers.. Samsung, HTC, ZTE, LG, Kyocera, Motorola. I'll start with what I DON'T like: -Too small for my large hands (although for many the small size is a 'plus') -Small screen isn't great for movies (hence my tablet's reason for existence) -Charging ports are weak. You must not wiggle or jiggle it or force the plug in, or yank it unplugged by using the cord (pure laziness), otherwise it'll become loose & harder to charge w/o hassle. -Non-removable battery.. This just sucks, but at least it has excellent longevity and goes forever between charges. -The cheap plastic trim ring around the phone always becomes loose over time & develops a ghetto look, fortunately these are replaceable, and in a variety of colors. The lack of a heavy skin by Moto (such as Samsung's 'Touchwiz') is a plus- it runs pretty much stock Android which frees up precious memory. Never had a problem with it but it lag freeze crash or overfill with apps. -Very little bloatware installed and if there is it could be uninstalled, and extraneous apps can be moved to the SD card as well IIRC. -It can be used as a mobile hotspot. -Rugged and simple, easy to operate. Motorola makes a good phone here. I'd buy another for a backup device if the price was right. The only reason it's not mine still is because it's not in my budget (lil understatement) and the screen is a bit too small for my liking. But don't let the small size or modest specs for you, it is quite a bit faster than my much newer phone with has 2 gigs of RAM! I leave background apps running all the tine without it bogging down performance. Rugged phone which performs great for those who need solid basics on a budget & don't want to compromise everyday usability. I like: It's cheaply priced but definitenly not cheaply made. I've dropped these things on the ground, in water (briefly), thrown one across the room etc and physically they hold up better than any Smartphone I've had to date.. Reminds Me of the old bar Nokia's. Modest specs but it is fast. No lag between tasks or when surfing the web or watching videos. It has the same specs as most other entry-level phones I've had, yet performs way better. This may be due to the near-stock Android software.. No intrusive Touchwiz or similar skins that may slow down the device. It might only have 8gb ROM/1gb ram but it has great performance, similar to my Galaxy S2 which has twice the memory. The phone is also very rugged and feels substantial but for the inevitable trim ring falling apart.. Fortunately you can buy replacements to those fairly cheap and in a color of your choice. The Moto E 2nd Gen has a nice ability to run multiple tasks at once for hours, even days and always keeps goin hard even when I load it up w/apps and data.Read full review

The phone is great, period. However it is not a good value "WHEN THE PHONE IS LOCKED TO THE SERVER". My understanding is, battery life is estimated for about two/three years (that's not terrible). It does nicely and is well worth the money if you can get one "UNLOCKED" for trending value on eBay. However... Here's it is in a nut shell. This review is for the Verizon Model. I am not sure about boost but you can compare the facts. I believe Boost locks down there phone as well, but I am not positive. Boost has a start up/activation fee and of course the monthly fee. Verizon locks down their phone, for some people initial start up fee/action fee and one month of service fee is ok. However for the budget minded that cost factor may be another story. The initial cost of the phone, the start up fee, and one month fee, could total as high as $150.00. That means I could buy a better unlocked phone, period. Hope this helps. There is plenty more about locked vs unlocked on the web.Read full review

I am very pleased with this phone. For a very low price you get a compact size, a good display, a decent battery life and performance. As well as all the necessary features that are required from a smartphone.

The phone was suppose to be new and come with $45.00 worth of prepaid credit. I bought it for my roommate and he had to take to Boost Mobile to get the phone to work. The problem was it registered with another phone number that's how I know it wasn't new and he didn't get the $45 talk/text/data. I am not happy at all.
