With a range from 11 to 24mm, this is one of the widest zooms for full frame. Very useful in some situations. Pretty sharp, particularly in the center and at higher F-stops, while the edges are a bit soft at low F-stops. Like other "L" lenses, it's well made. On the negative side, the lens is heavy and large. It's front element is bulbous and vulnerable. The image darkens considerably as you zoom in. Only opens to F4. It's expensive.

The Canon ef 11-24 mm zoom ultra wide angle zoom lens is an excellent choice for landscape and architectural photography. It is sharp edge to edge at all focal lengths even at maximum aperture. Built like a tank this lens is indeed hefty and pricy but it's performance will not disappoint.

I was using the Canon 10-22mm zoom on a 7D and 60D. It was my most used lens for forced perspective and landscape photography. I actually own two of the 10-22mm lenses because they are not the most robust. All of my other lenses are Canon L Series lenses. I decided that the Canon 11-24mm L would definitely be a step up. I am contemplating finally upgrading to a full frame camera so this purchase just made sense. I love this lens and I am extremely happy with my purchase. It works wonderfully on the crop sensor cameras and I cannot wait to use it on a full frame camera. I'm sure it will be my most used lens and it will completely replace the 10-22mm zooms. It is quite heavy but I've never let the weight of good quality equipment bother me. After lugging a 48 pound cinema camera around Hawaii for a month, this is nothing!Read full review

The Canon Ef 11-24mm is not only an amazing landscape lens but super for sports photography to get great venue shots as well as post game celebrations. The lens is heavy but the photographs are flawless and no vignetting as I got with my Fisheye 8-15mm. I have yet to try the filter systems recommended for long exposure landscapes and seascapes but from I have seen I am looking forward to doing this as soon as the COVID-19 goes away

I don’t usually write any reviews, but this lens is awesome. I do mostly video for the most part, I needed a wide angle lens that I can use with my EOS R camera. Since the camera has this big crop this is the best lens that can give me what you need at the moment. The 4K has a crop the digital stabilization on this camera has a crop you really need a lens this wide for those reasons. That’s for video. For the photo side I do real state photography it helps with the tight spaces. All around it’s a great buy.

Quite expensive, but there is nothing out there that is as wide an angle and as sharp as this lens-period. It is much larger and heavier than say a 24-205 L lens, so you won't be using it for a day at the beach! It will be a specialized service lens for landscapes, home interiors, distorted experiments, etc. Used, it probably won't depreciate much, if at all for years to come.

I absolutely love this lens! I am replacing a wide angle Sigma lens (not an ART) which has just disappointed me for the last time. I couldn't believe how sharp this thing was as I took picture after picture.

After trying Tamron and Tokina I got tired of wasting my time with lens focus and CA issues so I bit the bullet and bought the big guy. So far I have no complaints and I have taken quite a few photos with it. It is over priced but the competition is worthless.

This lens is of the expected quality the Canon L-series lenses are known for. I would have preferred it to be f2.8 rather than f4, but it is really a very nice lens. With all the good glass in this lens it is quite heavy.

This lens is amazing! Super sharp and crazy wide. I think I'll be using my 16-35 much less! Yes it's a pricey lens but you do get what you pay for!
