Great upgrade, just make sure to start engine with the plug a little loose to avoid hydro lock damage to engine
The tiger drive system is a good upgrade but its for more experienced hobbyist..... Great for hard to tune engines.....makes tuning all engines less problematic. The only major con I can think of is that you can seriously damage your engine if it hydro locks......very commonly breaking crank shaft. The easiest way around this is to start engine with the plug a little loose......so it can push out excess fuel. The tiger drive system is a good upgrade but its for more experienced hobbyist..... Just buy one. Weight reduction of removing starter asset i nice
Hope this item will always be avail. Rotozip start backplate nice too but access to starter socket is 90 degrees. No sneaking through a-arms to start. So far starter assy holding up. 1 way bearing doesn't do a 100% ulock. Stop moving hex socket w finger tip. No big deal. Just wonder how long 1 way clutch will last. Bearing is pressed into gear. Thought I seen the one way bearing having German made markings. Not 100%. We'll made product & hope they stay around for nitro engings. Hope this item will always be avail.
