    Launch Control XL Better than this for most uses.

    Not bad, but I really like my Novation Launch Control XL much better. The knobs on the MIDIMIX are too small and the features not as full. I know the Launch Control XL is more expensive but has 8 banks. The only thing this has that the Launch Control XL does not is a master (9th) fader.

    Designed for Abelton Live Works in Bitwig

    It was not easy but I was able to get the Akai Midimix to work in Bitwig. It takes some doing and an internet search for a second party script that you paste into Bitwig. If you search Akai MIDImix for Bitwig you will find the instructions. After that it works about the same for Bitwig as is dircribed for Abelton Live.

    Akai MIDI controllers - Great performers for a great price!

    Akai has made a name for themselves in the MIDI controller arena. Their quality, durability and compatibility all total up to one fine product after another... I have been using Akai products - in every area of audio and music production - for decades. I cannot recommend them enough. If you ever see an Akai product you think you may be able to put to use, and for a fair price - Grab it! Do not be very concerned about whether or not the original software is included with the unit if purchased used. It will probably be located on the Akai Pro site anyway... You can thank me later.
