Only problem I had was with the WPS but it eventually worked. I have a wide open space between the router and the Netgear device, I might also add that the router I have is a Netgear N300. I choose this particular adapter since it was also a Netgear and seemed to be compatible across the board and it is. The WPS whenever you try to connect that way(tested at least 5 times) and every time it takes about 5-8 tries of pushing both devices WPS buttons to connect so that was my only concern with the product. You can just enter the passcode for your wi-fi instead if you can remember it from 4 years ago when you initially set it up :), we couldn't so the WPS was the best option. I think if I had a dual band network router the process for finding a good adapter/dongle would have been much easier. Also have to factor in your system requirements as well as what type of USB ports you have access to whether they are 2.0 or 3.0. The latter of which seems to have more/better product options. Software was easy to install and a driver is available through the software even if you are offline and don't have access to an ethernet connection. My rave lies specifically with the support I received on this product. Without their solution to my issue, I would have been without internet services for nearly a week. This adapter is easy to set up. Software is included. Just install, plug in, and you're ready to go. We got our first Netgear N300 when the internal network adapter on one of our desktops became unreliable.
