Great unit for the price!
The unit arrived on time as promised. I'm using this unit on a kayak and I've never installed one on a kayak before, so this was kind of a challenge for me. When I got to work on it, it was fairly easy. I installed the bullet transducer on a Scotty arm which was really easy. I made a battery container from a small Tupperware enclosure and taped it to the bottom of the inside haul with strong Velcro. Well first trip on the lake I had a small problem trying to get out of the simulation mode but I finally figured it out after calling Lawrence to give me a hand. The operator on the other end was very patient and walk me through the whole process. For the money you can't beat this unit. The screen is very bright and Vivid and you can put it in manual mode to control the unit yourself wish I ... The unit arrived on time as promised. Only thing is, you don't get a map on the GPS it's just a blank screen with a cursor moving along with you. I would highly recommend this unit for anybody in the market for a lower-priced unit. I've had the Hook 2 4x GPS Bullitt for about 2 Weeks and still have strong Vertical Lines on the face when trying to use sonar. Lowrance has sent me a new unit, still not solved now they are sending me a new Transducer to see if that will solved the problem. I am sick of this unit and would like to upgrade but Lowrance saz they have to take my unit in and they do testing on it before they will let me upgrade. I have only used it a few times but it has worked well as far as depth, temperature, and boat speed. I can't speak to its accuracy yet but the readings seem to be close to what I have seen or checked before as far as depth is concerned. For the money it seems to be a great deal.

The depth finder appears to be a good unit I am disappointed in the supplier Their was no instructions guide in the box telling me how to use the unit. I left a message with the supplier. Never heard back from them. Thank you BF

Cheap few capabilities
This has no maps or way to upload them. It's just a basic black GPS screen that can follow your track or take you back where you started but there is no capability to have any maps in it. Pretty useless for navigation. Waste of money.
