    I like it

    More difficult to set up than I had envisioned, I none the less seemed to be a good start. More features can be learned in all the time and it has more capabilities than I knew about. There was no remote control with this one but it is Bluetooth enabled to allow tablets and smartphones to control it. I have more to learn about it

    The Best Version of Echo IMO

    My first 1st generation took a hard fall and broke. I love this profile with the small footprint vs. the short fat profile of the newer models. So I was grateful to find this one on ebay, brand new. Works perfectly.

    Better than the 2nd Gen model

    I have both the original Echo Plus and the newer 2nd Gen. I was happy to find some old stock of the original Echo Plus. The software capabilities of the two are the same. But, the audio quality of the original Echo Plus is better—much less distortion than in the newer 2nd Gen, which is a surprise given all the marketing hype about the new Echo having a Bose sound solution. Echo is not really all that intelligent, but it’s a lot of fun to work with for every day tasks (“play radio station...,” “what’s the weather forecast,” “turn on the lamp,” etc.). There are some bugs to work out (it connects flawlessly to bluetooth devices, then refuses to drop the connection saying there is no device connected. Anyway, it’s a fun device and it is good to see the technology develop. If you want to ...
